Come and Play Day: Stravinsky and Glazunov

Join us for an inspiring Come and Play Day, where local musicians are invited to experience the thrill of rehearsing and performing two colourful orchestral masterpieces. We will be playing Stravinsky’s vibrant Petrushka Suite, bursting with dazzling rhythms and vivid storytelling, alongside Glazunov’s enchanting The Seasons, a richly melodic ballet score that paints a series of beautiful musical landscapes. Whether you’re looking to challenge yourself, meet fellow players, or simply enjoy a day immersed in great music, our Come and Play Day promises expert direction, a friendly atmosphere, and the unforgettable experience of bringing these spectacular works to life together.

The day will end with an informal performance of the music, followed by a buffet celebration of the Northumberland Orchestra’s 150th Anniversary celebration.
