Sullivan’s HMS Pinafore Overture provides lively nautical humour\, followed by Nzekwe’s Sea Lights\, a sparkling modern depiction of maritime imagery. Elgar’s Sea Pictures (selections) offer lyrical reflection on the sea’s timeless allure\, and the concert concludes with Zimmer’s Pirates of the Caribbean\, an exhilarating orchestral adventure. \nA richly varied programme celebrating the power\, mystery\, and poetry of the sea through orchestral music. \nConcert Tickets\nTickets to all our concerts can be purchased at the door. The evening continues with Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole\, featuring virtuoso violin soloist Sasha Raikhlina\, displaying the fiery passion and dance rhythms of Spain.
